DAY 1: ARRIVE JOHANNESBURG

Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport, you will collect your luggage, pass through immigration, and head to the arrivals hall where your driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Sandton, one of South Africa’s most affluent areas, for a day / evening at leisure.

Overnight:  The Davinci Hotel & Suites (or similar)

 

DAY 2: JOHANNESBURG – SABI SANDS PRIVATE GAME RESERVE 

After an early breakfast, you will return to the airport via private transfers, and check-in for your light aircraft flight to Chitwa Chitwa in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. After check-in, you will have time to enjoy lunch and rest beside your private plunge pool before heading off on your first game drive in Sabi Sands National Park.

DAY 3: SABI SANDS PRIVATE GAME RESERVE 

To make the most out of your safari experience, you receive an early morning wake-up call and a light breakfast before your early morning game drive begins. You will return from your morning game drive in time for a sumptuous Lunch. You then have time to relax between lunch and afternoon high tea - this is the time to have a sleep, lie at the pool, read a book! After afternoon tea, you will set off on another game drive and enjoy ‘Sundowners’ in the middle the African Bush, before returning to the lodge in time for dinner.

DAY 4: SABI SANDS PRIVATE GAME RESERVE - JOHANNESBURG

After an early morning game drive and a final breakfast in the African Bush, you will take a light aircraft flight back to Johannesburg and transfer to your hotel in Sandton for an evening at leisure in the city.

DAY 5: JOHANNESBURG – PRETORIA – ROVOS RAIL

After a leisurely breakfast, your driver will collect you and transfer you to the Rovos Rail Train Station in Pretoria. At approximately 15h00, your luxury train will depart for Cape Town.

DAY 6: ROVOS RAIL JOURNEY

At approximately 10h00, your train will arrive in Kimberley and you will have to opportunity to visit the Big Hole and the Diamond Mine Museum. In the afternoon, you will continue your journey to Matjiesfontein via De Aar and Beaufort West

DAY 7: ROVOS RAIL – CAPE TOWN

The train will arrive in the historic village of Matjiesfontein at around 08h15. After enjoying a brief tour, you will continue on to Cape Town via Touws River and Worcester, arriving at around 18h00.

Upon arrival in Cape Town, your driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cape Town.

DAYS 8 – 11: CAPE TOWN

DAY 12: DEPARTURE
