Itinerary Overview

 

Day 1: Buenos Aires

Upon arrival at Buenos Aires Airport, please clear immigration, collect your luggage, and proceed to the arrivals hall where your driver will be waiting to transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to recover from your long flight and explore the city.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

Uncover the beautiful city of Buenos Aires at your leisure, and take in the sights and sounds of this vibrant hub of South America.

Day 3: Buenos Aires 

Recommended Activity: After breakfast, why not head over to the colourful markets of El Caminito and catch a live Tango show, before returning to Puerto Madera to enjoy the many fine bars and restaurants.

Day 4: Buenos Aires - Ushuaia

After breakfast today, your driver will collect you and transfer you to the airport for your onward flight to Ushuaia. Here, another driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in this quaint and charming town at the end of the world. Ushuaia offers a fine selection of seafood restaurants and bars for you to enjoy during the evening.

Day 5: Ushuaia

Recommended Activity: After breakfast, why not head down to the water’s edge, and take a boat trip along the Beagle Canal.  Filled with seals, penguins and an array of birdlife, this is a ‘must do’ on your trip through Patagonia.

Day 6: Ushuaia

With another full day to explore ‘Fire Land’, we recommend you take a half-day trip to National Park Tierra del Fuego, which is located on the Chile / Argentina borderline. Covering an area of some 63,000 hectares, this impressive park offers several trekking routes, and the most spectacular scenery.

Day 7: Ushuaia – El Calafate

After breakfast today, your driver will transfer you back to the airport for your onward flight to El Calafate, a typical Patagonian city located on the southern border of Lake Argentino. Upon arrival, you will transfer to your hotel in the town for an evening at leisure.

Day 8: El Calafate

With a full day to enjoy this beautiful region of Patagonia, we recommend you book a day trip to the world famous Perito Moreno Glacier, where you can sail or hike these ever-shifting icy landscapes, or simply enjoy the magnificent views with a traditional Argentine picnic of wine, cheese, cured meats, and freshly baked bread (all available to purchase in El Calafate).

Day 9: El Calafate

To make the most of your stay in Patagonia, we recommend you book a full day excursion to Torres del Paine National Park across the border in Chile. Known for its soaring mountain range, golden pampas, and glacial lakes, this really is a natural world wonder that everyone should visit at least once in their lives. You can book this full day excursion prior to travel or onsite in El Calafate.

Day 10: El Calafate - Bariloche 

After breakfast today, your driver will collect you and transfer you back to the airport where you will continue your journey to Bariloche in Argentina’s famous Lake District.  After checking in to your hotel, the afternoon is at leisure to explore.

Day 11: Bariloche 

Enjoy breakfast overlooking the beautiful landscapes of Bariloche before heading into town where you can admire the Swiss architecture and try the famous chocolate!  In the afternoon, you could take a scenic boat cruise or, if you are feeling more energetic, go hiking in the surrounding mountains.

Day 12: Bariloche 

With another full day to enjoy Bariloche, why not book one of the many excursions available, including horse riding, mountain biking and kayaking.

After a few days of indulgence, you may feel like a day of complete relaxation, and there is no better place to relax and unwind than the Termas de Cacheuta – Hot Thermal Pools in the Mendoza mountains. Bus transfers are available from Mendoza.

Day 16: Mendoza – Buenos Aires

Day 17: Departure
