Detailed Itinerary

 

Day 1: Rio de Janeiro

Upon arrival at Rio Airport, please clear immigration, collect your luggage, and proceed to the arrivals hall where you will find access to taxis and public transport links to the city. After self-transferring to the hotel, the rest of the day is at leisure to recover from your long flight and explore the city.

Overnight: Rio de Janeiro 

 

Day 2: Rio de Janeiro

Rio cries out to be explored, and on this itinerary, you have two full days to do so.  A tour of Corcovado and Sugar Loaf Mountain is included in this package, so why start your holiday in style with a train ride through the lush Tijuca Forest to reach the magnificent statue of Christ the Redeemer and its awe-inspiring views of the amazing city that is Rio.  After lunch, you will enjoy a cable car ride to the top of Sugar Loaf, for yet more stunning views and great photo opportunities.

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro 

Make the most of your second day in this exciting city with a trip to the world famous beaches, before getting ready for your next included excursion – Rio by night. Including a delicious barbecue dinner and a stunning show, this great excursion will help you find your dancing feet as the rhythm of the Samba begins to take its hold.

Day 4: Rio de Janeiro – Iguassu Falls (Brazilian Side)

After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Foz do Iguassu. Here you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel for a two-night stay. Later this afternoon, you will discover the Brazilian side of the world’s largest waterfalls, set deep within stunning tropical forest.

Day 5: Iguassu Falls (Argentine Side)

This morning’s tour takes you across the border into the heart of the Argentine National Park.  The views along the footpaths are magnificent and a viewing platform allows direct access to these magnificent falls.

Day 6: Iguassu Falls - Manaus

After breakfast today, you will transfer to the airport for your onward flight to Manaus, Brazil’s gateway to the Amazon.  Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your chosen hotel for the night.

Day 7: Manaus – Amazon Rainforest

Today you will begin your Brazilian adventure into the majestic Amazon Rainforest. After an early breakfast, you will travel to your lodge by boat along this world famous river.

Day 8: Amazon Rainforest

Listed as one of the ‘New 7 Wonders of Nature’, the Amazon has much to offer the intrepid traveller.  Today you will enjoy a jungle hike with an experience guide, and witness some of the most amazing flora and fauna.

Day 9: Amazon Rainforest

After a delicious breakfast, you will head off on a full day excursion visiting the phenomenon of the ‘Meeting of the Waters’ at the confluence of the Rio Negro and the Rio Solimões.

Day 10: Amazon – Manaus - Departure 

After breakfast today, you will return to Manaus by boat and transfer to the airport.
