DAY 1: ARRIVE CAPE TOWN – TRANSFER TO HOTEL
Upon arrival in Cape Town, please collect your luggage and proceed to the arrivals hall where your driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Sea Point. The rest of the day is at leisure.

DAY 2: CAPE TOWN CYCLE TOUR REGISTRATION & EXPO
After breakfast today, we will head to the Cape Town Cycle Tour Registration and EXPO to collect our race packs. A complimentary one-way transfer is provided at 09h00, the rest of the day is at leisure. At 17h30, please join us for drinks and snacks at our Race Day Briefing. An informal event where you can meet other Equatours guests, enjoy some complimentary refreshments, and ask any last-minute questions about race day, it will leave you fully prepared for Sunday.

DAY 3: CAPE TOWN CYCLE TOUR 2024
Today is the day you have been waiting for! After an early breakfast (from 05h30), depart the hotel and cycle the +/- 10 minute ride to the start line, where you will join your seeded group. Once you have crossed the finish line and collected your medal, please meet Team Equatours at the hospitality area for a celebratory drink before cycling (+/- 5-minutes) back to the hotel. At 18h00 we will meet for pre-dinner drinks in the hotel bar before transferring to our after-party location for a night of celebrations.

DAY 4: FREE DAY CAPE TOWN
Today you have a full day at leisure to prepare for your Garden Route Tour.

DAY 5: CAPE TOWN TO HERMANUS: CYCLING DISTANCE APPROXIMATELY 121KM / 75 MILES
After a final breakfast in Cape Town, we’ll load the support vehicle and set off on our first leg on the Garden Route from Cape Town to Hermanus – the Whale Watching Capital of South Africa.

DAY 6: HERMANUS TO SWELLENDAM: CYCLING DISTANCE APPROXIMATELY 110KM / 68 MILES
After breakfast today, we’ll jump onto the support vehicle and transfer for approximately 1-hour before starting the second leg of our journey inland towards Swellendam – the third oldest town in South Africa.

DAY 7: SWELLENDAM TO OUDTSHOORN: CYCLING DISTANCE APPROXIMATELY 125KM / 77 MILES
Today we’ll continue our journey inland from Swellendam to Ladismith, where we will load the bikes and transfer to Oudtshoorn – the Ostrich Capital.

DAY 8: OUDTSHOORN TO BRENTON-ON-SEA: CYCLING DISTANCE APPROXIMATELY 75KM / 46 MILES
Today is mountain stage! We will cycle the old George to Knysna Road, up and over the majestic Outeniqua Pass to Wilderness, where we will load the bikes and transfer +/- 1-hour to our seaside resort in Brenton-on-Sea.

DAY 9: BRENTON-ON-SEA TO THE CRAGS: CYCLING DISTANCE APPROXIMATELY 85KM / 52 MILES
After our morning routine of breakfast, hotel check out, and loading the support vehicle, we will leave Brenton-on-Sea behind as we ride to the nature lover’s paradise of Nature’s Valley. From here, we will take short transfer to our beautiful hotel in The Crags.

DAY 10: THE CRAGS TO JEFFREY’S BAY: CYCLING DISTANCE APPROXIMATELY 110KM / 68 MILES
Today’s cycle ride starts on easy terrain as we head out of town and into the rich green countryside that will lead us to the Tsitsikamma Mountains. From here, our route remains relatively flat, but there are a few climbs to test our legs as we make our way to Jeffery’s Bay (a mecca for surfers) where we will spend the night.

DAY 11: JEFFERY’S BAY TO PORT ELIZABETH: CYCLING DISTANCE APPROXIMATELY 115KM / 71 MILES
After an early breakfast and hotel check-out, we will load our luggage onto the support vehicle before setting off from the hotel. We’ll ride next to the beach and the rocky coastline until we reach our end destination Port Elizabeth, where we will enjoy our final dinner as a group.

DAY 12: DEPARTURE
After breakfast today, you will have a few hours to pack your bike and shop for last-minute souvenirs before your driver collects you and returns you to the airport for your return flight home.
