This safari is a seamless combination of three of the most outstanding and spectacular areas in Zimbabwe. Beginning in eastern Hwange National Park, the largest park in Zimbabwe and renowned for its incredible concentrations of wildlife, you then move on to Changa Safari Camp at Lake Kariba, before spending your last two nights at Victoria Falls.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Victoria Falls Airport, Zimbabwe
Upon arrival at Victoria Falls Airport, please clear immigration, collect your luggage, and proceed to the arrivals hall where your driver will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel for an evening at leisure.
Overnight: A’Zambezi River Lodge (or similar)
Day 2: Victoria Falls – Hwange National Park
After breakfast, you will transfer back to Victoria Falls airport and catch your scheduled charter flight to Hwange National Park. Upon arrival at the park, a driver will be waiting with a 4x4 safari vehicle to transfer you to your lodge for the next 3 nights in the bush.

Day 3: Hwange National Park
After breakfast today, you will enjoy the many activities on offer at your chosen camp, including: Game drives or guided walks in the early mornings and evenings. Between these, watch wildlife from the comfort of your deck as wildlife congregates at the camp waterhole.
Wildlife: Summer rainfall brings the plains of Hwange to life, practically guaranteeing concentrations of wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, waterbuck, impala, kudu and even herds of eland. The plethora of game, especially young antelope, attracts a variety of predators and can include lion, cheetah, wild dog and leopard. Its’ great herds of buffalo and elephant (estimated at 30000 in Hwange) can be seen year round.

Day 4: Hwange National Park
Today you have another full day in Hwange National Park. You can join both safari activities available today, or simply relax onsite admiring the many animals the come to visit the local watering hole.

Day 5: Hwange National Park – Lake Kariba
After your final breakfast in Hwange, you will transfer by light aircraft to Kariba town. On arrival, you will be met and transferred by road to the harbour, followed by a boat transfer across Lake Kariba (total travelling time approximately 1.5 hours).

Day 6: Lake Kariba
You will spend the next 2 days uncovering the delights of Lake Kariba. The world’s largest artificial lake and reservoir by volume, Lake Kariba covers an area of 5,580 square kilometres (2,150 sq mi), and the hydroelectric power station is a key source of power for the region.
Wildlife: There are a host of mammals and birds present in this diverse habitat. Leopard, lion, hyena and cheetah are found here, as well as elephant, hippo, crocodile and a multitude of antelope species. The birdlife here is prolific – over 350 species have been recorded, which include many water birds.
Activities: The area is a walker’s paradise: early morning or late afternoon walks in the company of one of the camp’s professional guides are a special feature. Game drives or cruises also take place; fishing on Kariba is also available.

Day 7: Lake Kariba
After an early morning game drive or guided walk, why not head down to the water for a cruise along lake Kariba, where sunsets are simply breath-taking.

Day 8: Lake Kariba – Victoria Falls
After breakfast today, you will return to Kariba Airport by boat and road, for your light aircraft flight to Victoria Falls. Upon Arrival in Victoria Falls, you will transfer to your hotel for an evening at your leisure.

Day 9: Victoria Falls
Today you have the full day to enjoy the magnificent Victoria Falls. Recommended activities include a trip to the Zambia side of the falls and a Zambezi river Sunset Cruise.

Day 10: Departure
After breakfast today, you will have a few hours to shop for those last-minute souvenirs before transferring back to Victoria Falls Airport for your return flight home.
